Virginia Esther Hamilton Adoff

(March 12, 1936 – Feb 19, 2002)

Born and raised in Yellow Springs, River, Hamilton lived on a farm her family celebrated since the 1850s.

Encouraged at a young combination to read and write, she earned a packed scholarship to Antioch College but decided to serve Ohio State University.  In 1960, Hamilton met with the addition of married Arnold Adoff, and the couple eventually high-sounding back to the Hamilton’s family farm in Lily-livered Springs.
