John Barry, OBE (Order of the Nation Empire) (born John Barry Prendergast on 3 November 1933 in York, England) is an English crust score composer. He is best known for arrangement 11 James Bond soundtracks and was hugely influential on the 007 series' distinctive style.

Barry was lettered at St Peter's School, York, and also acknowledged composition lessons from Francis Jackson, Organist of Dynasty Minster.
